Makeup Products You Need To Have While Traveling

Traveling is such an incredible experience – from exploring new places to being able to get away from your day-to-day routine, it comes with so many possibilities. Aside from packing all your essentials, there’s another thing to think about: makeup. If you happen to be someone who wears makeup on a daily basis, it’s going to be something you bring along on your travels. So, the question is, what do you bring and what do you leave behind? You don’t want to overpack and then be stuck lugging around too much stuff. So, we’re going to go over the makeup essential you’ll need while traveling to save you from not packing enough and not overpacking.

Sunscreen

The most important thing to have anywhere you go, no matter what, is sunscreen. It doesn’t matter where you are, what the weather’s like, or where you’ll be going, sunscreen is something you have to wear every single day. Sun damage is not something you want to get in any which way.

Mascara

Mascara can make all the difference when it comes to makeup. Honestly, even if you don’t want to wear any kind of foundation or concealer, wearing mascara will make you look so much more put together than you would otherwise. It’s basically like a building block of makeup. You can find travel-sized tubes as well if you’re really trying to minimize packing.

Blush, Bronzer, and Highlighter

These three are almost like the holy trinity of makeup. You don’t have to wear all three, of course, but each one serves a purpose. If you’re looking for a sun-kissed look, you can either wear bronzer or bronzer and blush. If you just want to make your skin seem like it’s glowing, throw on some highlighter! Of course, if you happen to be going out to a nice dinner, you can combine all three for a complete look.

Makeup Remover

This goes without saying, but whenever you wear makeup, you’ll need a remover for later. Whether it’s wipes or a solution, make sure to bring some along. Keeping makeup on overnight is absolutely terrible for the skin and eyes and it is not recommended. Again, there are all kinds of travel-sized packaging you can find at drugstores to bring along.

Tweezers

This might not be a real necessity, but it’s always good to have. Not to mention, tweezers don’t take up much space and are obviously not heavy. It’s always nice to know that if you catch a glimpse of a runaway hair in your eyebrow you can just pluck it without worrying about it too much.

Eyeshadow Palette

Again, opt for a mini palette or a travel-sized palette to make the most of your luggage space. The best option is a neutral palette to make sure you can wear makeup for any situation and look. On top of that, it’s good to take a palette that has a color you can use to fill in your eyebrows if you need to.

Brushes

Naturally, there’s not much you can do without your trusted makeup brushes, so this one is rather obvious. All the same, try and narrow down to the brushes you absolutely need.

Concealer

Who doesn’t need concealer every now and again? Whether you want to cover the bags under your eyes or you wake up with a spot, concealer is a must-have in any makeup bag no matter where you go.

Foundation

This is optional if we’re being honest. Foundation is great, but not totally essential all the time. You can get away with just using some concealer in the right places and still look put together. So this one is up to you and what you’re going to be doing on your trip.
